I had a seriously sick feeling at the pit of my stomach and my head spun like a Ferris-wheel! I was sick. I decided to get rid of the feeling through 'pain endurance' (one of my more noted trademarks), because I couldn't as well break my fast! That would be weak. Instead, I decided to take the pain, and carry on without a hitch. I taught my student 'Muhtasim' from 1030 to 1100 and met an old friend, who is also my mother's English student. She and I go way back to when I was in middle school. She's been coming to my mom every afternoon three days a week, for over 10 years now, to do English - and she doesn't ...

"Sometimes we fail, Sometimes we win, Sometimes we fail to win, As we commit through sin." Dearest, Today I woke up with a strange feeling that the day was going to go badly; I still hadn't apologized to my friend properly, and so was feeling worse. I read through the Quran for an hour to clear my head, and it helped. The power went off twice in the morning, so then I went to pray. After the power came back, I uploaded a song for my friend which she wanted to hear. I have yet to hear her comments on that. But it wasn't a song that she hadn't heard; she had heard it before. She just wanted it in her collection I suppose. :) The electricity then went out for a third time in the afternoon. I got frustrated and went to sleep, listening to "Soilwork's" album "The Panic Broadcast". (Those of you who like to torrent can find the album here > http://www.torrentz.com/c893cfdf2e5828ff53a0d30aad97b86ed283c707) :) When the electricity came back, ...

Matha noshto

"Something funny happened today, it left me baffled and suprised. I wonder if it was the will of God, or something to surmise." Dearest, My brother left me a note for me on the computer, to download an episode of an anime called 'Gantz'. I sought the torrent online and gave the file to download and looked up the series on Wikipedia. As I lazily scrolled along the pages, I noticed a picture of the anime television series. It was a DVD cover which showed a weird image from the opening theme of 'Gantz'. It showed one of the lead characters with his skull sliced off halfway. I reacted to the picture by setting it as my profile picture and updating my status to 'Matha Noshto (literally)' (Crazy, literally) in Facebook. I then went on to see the who's-who's-doin-what on my Facebook 'home' page, when I noticed a comment posted by my friend who had written, ".........matha noshto..." as well! Coincidence? Most probably, because in my ...

My friend

"My friend asked me if I'm high today, I plainly asked him why? After a short explanation of his plight, I told him that he lies." Our religion makes us strong, through our prayers and reading of our Holy Book. They say the Book has power. I don't know, but what I do know is that holds a lot of meaningful advice in it. and many stories of the past and what's yet to come. It holds the key to mankind's peace, as stated by some Islamic scholars, and that it's a manual for man. So, going back to my friend, as he thought that I was high, indeed I wasn't and indeed I shall never be, for I have the power of the Book and my Lord's prayers with me. :)
