Dearest,
I just finished watching Fast and Furious. Was it good? It was unbelievable! And to think Vin Diesel produced it! Man is he loaded! ;P
The storyline was fantastic, the action was ridiculous and the one-liners were corny. It was a good movie although rottentomatoes gave it a rotten 28% saying, "While Fast and Furious features the requisite action and stunts, the filmmakers have failed to provide a competent story or compelling characters."
The story was the only thing I found to be competent, call me whacko. :P
I'm a big racing game fan, so I like watching these 'cheesey' movies. My psyche regarding games and movies is more closely 'attached', if that's one way of putting it.

I woke up to find mom watching HBO, and it was airing The Making of Fast and Furious. I watched through it, but little did I know that they would be airing the movie right after!
I had to see it from beginning to end because I hadn't seen it, although it is a 2009 film.
I'd seen parts of it at different times, but never got a chance to appreciate the entire movie, from first to last. The critics can throw their tomatoes, I can't care less, but Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Vin Diesel, KUDOS! to you all. (applause) - a very good movie. :)

Since 'rotten' gave it a 26% and certified it as rotten, I decided to check our their check out their 'certified fresh'' titles. Today they have the titles Restrepo, Kick-Ass and Winter's Bone up on their list. They look good! Gotta check them out.

Anyway, Eid's just around the corner, and people are saying it'll be day after tomorrow. Let's see. Hope you have a wonderful vacation! I know I won't. :) Unless there are a few good movies to watch.
I'm off to watch the episode (13) of Darker Than Black, I downloaded the day before.
Then finish watching it on TV. Episode 13 was corrupt on the DVD, so I had to download it.
I downloaded the 1080p HD file of that episode, and boy is the quality good!
Like watching through glass.

Mom's Recipes - Part V

Dearest, Today we cook beef with tomatoes and potatoes. Ingredients: 1kg beef brisket 3 big, fat onions (chopped) 4 big tomatoes Half cup soya oil Ginger, onion paste Grind together 2 bay leaves, 5 garlic cloves, 5 cardamoms, 3 sticks of cinnamon squish :) Method: Heat oil, put chopped onions, tomatoes and all the ground spices and ginger/garlic paste. Add one tbsp salt, 3tsp turmeric and 2 mugs of water. Bring to boil. Add the washed beef to the boiling spice mix and turn down the heat. Simmer for 1 hour. Tenderize! :O Add water if necessary and add the potatoes. Tenderize! :) Add jeera powder (jeera phaki) and coriander powder (dhania phaki). :) Till we eat again! Lots of beefy love, M.
