Mom's recipes - Part VI

Dearest,

Today we cook a Mughal beef dish.

DAHI GOSHT [BEEF IN CURDS]

Ingredients
1kg beef
1 container Aarong doi [500ml]
1/2 a lemon
1 big fat onion chopped fat fat
1 big fat onion chopped thin thin [for barista] :)
4tbsp ghee
2tbsp oil
1tbsp salt
2 bay leaves

Masala paste ingredients:
1inch of ginger, 5 garlic cloves, 10 pepper corns,, 2 bay leaves, 4 red chillies

Heat oil with ghee, fry thinly sliced onions, make golden brown barista.
Take out all barista from pot and keep aside for garnishing.
Place pot back on fire, and add cardamom, cinnamon [elaichi, darchini] onions, bay leaves, curds, salt, ginger garlic paste, masala family paste :)
Add 3 mugs of hot water, and add beef.

Once it comes to boil, lower the heat and simmer for 1.5 hours, or until beef is tender.
Stir and wait until the beef is soft.
Final stage: add sugar and barista.

Serve hot hot with roti/paratha/white hot fluffy rice :)
